About Us

CARA is a not-for-profit volunteer organization in Clearview Township whose purpose is to represent the interests and concerns of all residents of Creemore and its neighbouring rural communities, and to act on relevant issues which affect our quality of life.

Our objective is to preserve the unique and wonderful character of Creemore and the surrounding area.  Through consultation, research and advocacy, CARA aims to contribute constructively to the social, economic and cultural wellbeing of the whole community. We have always advocated for local economic growth which respects the integrity and character of the village and area.

CARA also contributes volunteers and resources to support local organizations and community events, such as the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Creemore Children’s Festival.

CARA has been actively involved with future developments affecting Creemore such as the TD Lands, Alliance (now purchased by Tribute) and MDM’s Brie development. More recent advocacy activities have been submissions to Clearview Council in support of the Creemore Community Foundation, presentations and surveys with regard to ATVs in Creemore and Dunedin.
